Vivo V80 5G India Launch October 6 price camera and full specs

Vivo V80 5G India Launch is set for October 6, 2026, with price, camera and full specifications in focus.

Vivo V80 5G India Launch is almost here. And if you were expecting Vivo to play it safe with another routine V-series update, some of the announced specs might surprise you.

There is a huge 7,200mAh battery inside, a 144Hz OLED display and 90W fast charging. Vivo is also leaning heavily into photography again, with ZEISS-backed cameras taking centre stage.

That sounds good on paper. But there are still things we don’t know.

Most importantly, how much will the Vivo V80 5G actually cost?

With the October launch approaching, here is what we know about the Vivo V80 5G launch date in India, its camera, battery, display, expected price and other specifications.

What Is the Vivo V80 5G Launch Date in India?

There is no need to rely on launch-date rumours anymore. The Vivo V80 5G launch date in India is October 6, 2026, at 12 PM IST.

That is when some of the remaining blanks should finally be filled in.

We already know quite a bit about the phone itself, but Vivo still needs to reveal its India pricing, RAM and storage combinations, launch offers and first-sale details.

The V80 is also set to reach buyers through Vivo’s own online store, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retailers once sales begin.

So, October 6 is not really about discovering what the V80 is anymore. The bigger question is what Vivo will charge for it.

Vivo V80 5G Price in India: How Much Could It Cost?

This is where things get interesting.

The official Vivo V80 5G price has not been announced in India yet. We should get that figure at the October 6 launch.

You may already come across predicted prices online, but I would not treat those as final. A few thousand rupees can completely change how a phone compares with its rivals.

For some context, the Vivo V70 started at ₹59,999. That tells us where Vivo positioned the previous generation, but it doesn’t automatically mean the V80 will start at the same price.

And price matters here.

A big battery and an impressive camera sound great, but at this level buyers have plenty of alternatives. The V80 will have to make sense as a complete package, not just win on one or two headline specifications.

Vivo V80 5G Camera: What Is New This Time?

Can the Vivo V80 5G camera capture the kind of photo you would actually post without spending five minutes editing it first?

That’s a more useful question than simply counting megapixels.

Think about how you normally use your camera. Maybe you’re trying to photograph someone indoors where the lighting isn’t great. Maybe it’s a quick group selfie, a night shot while travelling or a video recorded while you’re walking.

Those everyday situations tend to expose a phone camera’s weaknesses pretty quickly.

Vivo is giving the V80 some serious camera hardware to work with. The Vivo V80 5G camera setup includes a 50MP ZEISS main camera with a Sony LYTIA 700V sensor and optical image stabilisation.

There’s also a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera built around the Sony IMX882 sensor. It gets OIS as well.

The telephoto camera offers 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom. Vivo is also highlighting 85mm and 100mm portrait options.

Prefer taking photos of yourself?

The front gets a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with autofocus, a 92-degree field of view and 0.8x–2x free zoom. That wider view could come in handy when you’re trying to fit several people into the same selfie.

Video hasn’t been ignored either. The V80 supports 4K Cinematic Video and 4K recording at 60fps.

The numbers are certainly impressive. What will be more interesting is seeing how those cameras behave when the lighting, movement and subject aren’t perfect.

Vivo V80 5G Full Specifications

The cameras may get most of the attention, but look beyond them and the Vivo V80 5G mobile has a few other features that stand out.

Here are the main Vivo V80 5G India specifications and price details for 2026 announced or reported so far:

Display and Design: Is the 144Hz OLED Screen a Big Upgrade?

You’ll be looking at the display every time you pick up the phone, so this is one specification that matters beyond a launch presentation.

The Vivo V80 5G has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display capable of reaching a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

In simple terms, scrolling through a webpage or moving around the interface should look smooth. Games that support higher refresh rates could benefit too.

Vivo also quotes up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness. Don’t read that as the entire screen sitting at 5,000 nits throughout normal use—it refers to peak brightness under particular conditions.

Still, outdoor visibility is something worth looking at once the phone reaches reviewers.

As for colours, you get three choices: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black.

Processor, RAM and Storage: How Powerful Will It Be?

This part needs a small asterisk.

Reports have linked the Vivo V80 5G with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Vivo, however, has not officially named the processor on its launch page yet.

Rather than getting too caught up in benchmark numbers, I’d watch how the phone behaves after 20 or 30 minutes of demanding use.

Does a game remain smooth? Does the phone become noticeably warm? Can you jump between several apps without them constantly reloading?

Those things say far more about day-to-day performance.

The final RAM and storage options are another detail we expect Vivo to clarify at launch.

Battery and Fast Charging: Can 7,200mAh End Battery Anxiety?

Now we get to one of my favourite specifications on the V80: 7,200mAh.

That’s a lot of battery for a smartphone.

If your day involves Google Maps, photography, WhatsApp, YouTube and hours of scrolling, you probably know the feeling of watching that battery percentage disappear much faster than expected.

The V80 gives you more capacity to work with.

Vivo claims up to 14 hours of navigation and 39.5 hours of local video playback. Your results will obviously vary depending on brightness, network conditions, refresh rate and what you’re doing on the phone.

Then there’s 90W FlashCharge.

Vivo says Fast Charging Mode can take the battery to 50 percent in 30 minutes. Considering the size of the battery, that’s useful. You shouldn’t have to choose between a huge battery and spending half your day waiting for it to charge.

Software: OriginOS 7 Comes to the V-Series

The V80 will ship with OriginOS 7.

Software isn’t as easy to advertise as a 50MP camera or 7,200mAh battery, but you’ll interact with it hundreds of times a day. Animations, notifications, multitasking and small interface decisions can make a technically powerful phone either pleasant or annoying to live with.

Long-term support deserves attention too.

If you’re someone who keeps the same phone for four or five years instead of replacing it every upgrade cycle, that commitment becomes much more meaningful.

How Powerful Is the Vivo V80 5G Mobile for Everyday Use?

Here’s where I would ignore the specification sheet for a moment.

A strong spec sheet does not always mean a smooth experience. What really counts is how the phone handles the apps and tasks you use every day.

The Vivo V80 5G mobile certainly has the ingredients for a good everyday experience. The 144Hz OLED screen should keep things fluid, while that 7,200mAh battery gives heavy users more breathing room.

If your smartphone has already replaced a separate camera for most occasions, the V80’s photography features are likely to get your attention. Portraits, travel photos, Reels and family videos are much more realistic tests than photographing the same perfectly lit object repeatedly.

We will have to wait for proper testing before saying more about gaming, heating, camera consistency or actual battery life.

Specs can tell us what a phone should do. Using it tells us what it actually does.

Vivo V80 5G vs Vivo V70: What Has Actually Changed?

The V80 increases battery capacity from the V70’s 6,500mAh to 7,200mAh. The screen supports refresh rates of up to 144Hz. Vivo is also giving photography plenty of attention, particularly when it comes to telephoto portraits and cinematic-style video.

You also get OriginOS 7 and new AI-assisted camera features.

But upgrading every generation rarely makes sense simply because the numbers have increased.

If your V70 is still quick, takes photos you like and comfortably gets you through the day, the V80 needs to offer something you’ll actually notice.

That’s why I’d wait for two things before judging the upgrade: real-world testing and the final Vivo V80 5G price.

Is the Vivo V80 5G Worth Waiting For?

Planning to replace your phone soon? With the V80 arriving on October 6, you may want to see its final India pricing before making a decision.

The Vivo V80 5G India Launch happens on October 6, and by then we’ll know the number that could change the entire conversation: its India price.

What we know already is promising.

There’s a 7,200mAh battery, 90W charging, a 144Hz OLED display and an ambitious ZEISS-backed camera system.

But a phone doesn’t exist in isolation. At ₹50,000, it faces one group of competitors. Push the price considerably higher and buyers suddenly have very different options.

So rather than deciding from the specification sheet alone, October 6 is worth waiting for.
